What is a PLT?
A Professional Learning Team is composed of a group of teachers from the same grade level, specialists, and administrators who work together to create a plan, which includes strategies and assessments that help struggling learners be successful. The final outcome should not only be a clear understanding of what the struggling learner’s needs are but what should be done to get the learner on track. If the learner continues to struggle, then the student should be brought to the Response To Instruction (RTI) team.
