A Night to Remember …

· Length of event: 2.5 hours (5:30-6:15 dinner, 6:30-8:00 2 sessions 6:30-7:10, 7:15-8:00)

How do we get the word out?
· Weekly newsletter – classroom teachers responsible for sharing the information
· Flyers from school- created by a staff member, sent home with students
· Website- information posted on main website
· School messenger- phone calls home (automatic)
· RSVP flyer sent from school
People In
· Food (dinner provided)
· Training and hands-on materials given
· Childcare with arts and crafts activities and movies
· Transportation provided
Staff expectations
· The Curriculum Committee and Instruction Commiittee will be in charge of planning the evening.
· All grade levels will create hands-on activities which will be presented during the evening
· Supply lists will be given to: 3 weeks prior to the event
· 1-2 staff members per grade level will be on hand to deliver instruction to the parents
· Other staff members will be expected to assist with other necessities of the evening:
Sign-in, registration, making food, delivering food, childcare, giving directions, kitchen clean-up,
and cafeteria clean-up
Parent Help
· We need a lot of parental support to organize the “bags of materials” that will be distributed to
parents attending the event
· Dinner prep work
Evaluation
· Evaluations given to parents at the end of the evening
