How do we get the word out?

Staff expectations
· Planning team will be made up of the science specialists on each grade level and the science teacher
· Science teacher and planning team will create a timeline of events for the classroom teachers and students
· Classroom teachers will follow the dates given to them by the Science teacher/planning team
· Classroom teachers will help the students gather what they need for their projects
· The planning team will arrange for judges, ribbons/certificates, and food for judges
Parent Involvement
Evaluation
- Purpose: Students will create class and individual projects which will be displayed and judged
- Agenda/Program: Guests can view the various projects
- Funding: Money needed for display boards and food for judges and awards
- Length of event: 2 hours, part of Evening of Stars
- Due dates:
How do we get the word out?
- Weekly newsletter – classroom teachers responsible for sharing the information
- Flyers – created by a planning team sent home with students
- Website- information posted on main website- Mo will post
- Lead Secretary Weekly Newsletter
- School messenger- phone calls home (automatic- Ruth Ann will generate)
- Newspaper – Mo to contact
