Parent Involvement

Staff expectations
- All grade levels will have a week-long residency
- The MI team will plan the structure of the week (not the content)
- Residencies are planned in the year prior-during the month of Feb-March when grants are due
- All teachers will work with the artists to plan the residency during the Oct.19th. early release day
- All teachers will be present in the classroom during the residency
- Teachers will need to get volunteers to assist each day of the residency- at least 3 per day
- Teachers will complete artist evaluations -give to Kristen by following Friday
- Teachers will complete student evaluations- give to Kristen by following Friday
- Teachers will take pictures during the residency (to be used in presentation during Evening of Stars)
- Teachers will ensure that students document the residency through journal entries and writings -give to Kristen by following Friday
- Each grade level will put together a photo presentation to be shown during the residency evening-An Evening of Stars – this is due by Tuesday the week following the residency- should be about 5 min. in length
Parent Involvement
- During the residency, 3 volunteers per day, per class are needed to assist
- Someone on hand to greet artists
- Evaluations by teachers for feedback - give to Kristen, Monday following the residency
- Evaluations by students for feedback - give to Kristen, Monday following the residency
